For Dear Youth, Parents, and Volunteers,
Hope everyone one is well. Thanks to everyone who came to Parent Meeting and signed up for meals. I appreciate it! Can’t believe its fall and October starts tomorrow. Sure doesn’t feel like it with this weather. We have a very busy October with lots of fun events. Here are more details.
SIERRA SERVICE PROJECT: We decided at our Parent Meeting that we want to go to Spokane Washington week 1. We would Fly Sat June 30- Sat July 7th and rent vans. I need to sign us up by next week to reserve our spot. To reserve your spot I need a $50 deposit. I need to know by SUN OCT 8th if you plan to attend. So far here’s who’s expressed interest: Forrest, Silas, Luis, Anthony, Dennis, Destiny, Rebekah, Christopher.
Sunday Oct 1st we will have Youth Fellowship 5:30- 7pm talking about Temptation and dinner provided by the Dollins. Sunday Oct 8th we will have Youth Fellowship 5:30- 7pm about Fear and Dinner will be provided by Kathy Ramsy and Attila.
Saturday Oct 14th we will be going to Knotts Berry Farm. Cost $30 + lunch $. Meet at AUMC 8 am so we can get to park when it opens. Please bring $ for lunch in the park. We will get dinner on the way back to church. We will be meeting other churches at Knotts so there might be a chance of meeting at another church for fellowship and dinner. I will keep you posted. Please RSVP by Sun OCT 8th.
Sunday Oct 22 we will have a Halloween Party 5:30- 7pm with Silly Halloween Games.
Sunday Oct 29th is Trunk or Treat. The event is 2-5 pm but since we will be helping set-up and run games please be there by 12:30/1 pm. I will confirm and message everyone who plans to volunteers with more details once I have them.
