Ginny Wheeler is currently the pastor in charge of the Garden Grove United Methodist Church.Ginny has been ordained pastor serving in the California Pacific Annual Conference for the past twenty five years.Ginny spent twenty years at the Laguna Beach UMC and four years serving as an associate minister in San Diego at St. Marks UMC. Ginny has a Master of Divinity from Wesley Theological Seminary, a Masters in Education from the Monterey Institute of International Studies, and a Bachelor of Religion from Southern Methodist University. Ginny currently serves as the Chair of the Santa Ana District Leadership Team, a member of the Garden Grove Interfaith Council, and Board of Trustee Member of the Claremont School of Theology. Carrie Cesar-3.jpgRev. Carrie Cesar is the Hispanic/Latino Ministry Coordinator for Garden Grove United Methodist Church. Her role is helping our church reach out and relate with families in the local Hispanic/Latino community who want to join us in seeking God’s mission. She helps us in knowing how to share the great ministries we have at our church with our Hispanic neighbors, and in helping us discern what new ministries God wants us to begin with our Latino friends! Carrie has a Masters of Divinity from Iliff School of Theology in Denver CO, and a double major Bachelors of Arts degree in Religion/Philosophy and Theater/Communications from Dakota Wesleyan University. She lived in Mexico for 17 years as a volunteer and community organizer for “Heifer International”. Carrie is married to Alfredo who is also a Pastor of Hispanic Ministry. tonepicture1.jpgThe Samoa Pastor is Eketone Tosi. Tone, as he prefers, is serving his very first congregation since answering God's calling. His theological, religious training and education began in American Samoa at Kanana Fou Theological Seminary, where he received a Diploma of Theological Studies in 2001 and a Bachelor of Divinity the following year. In 2009, he received his Masters of Divinity from Claremont School of Theology. IMG_3471.1.jpgJanine Ryder is the Administrative Assistant at Garden Grove United Methodist Church. She began working in the Church Office ten years ago as a Church Secretary. Before that, she published Expectations, the church newsletter, and worked in the church office as a volunteer. Janine grew up at Garden Grove United Methodist Church and is the daughter of Lloyd and Martha (deceased) Cole. She is married to Steve and they have one son, Eric. Janine's Email


Ray Woods.1.jpgRay Woods is the Garden Grove United Methodist Church Director of Music, a position he has held for the past 31 years. As Director of Music, Ray directs the Chancel Choir, Madrigal Singers, and Sanctuary Bell Choir, and supervises the overall music program at the church. Prior to coming to GGUMC, he held the position of Organist/Choir Director at the First Presbyterian Church of San Pedro, CA for 7 years. Ray received his post-secondary education at Whittier College, Occidental College, and the University of Southern California. He was the Chapel Organist at Occidental College from 1969-1972. Ray also teaches Choir and AP Music Theory at Dana Hills High School, and is the Artistic Director of The South Orange County School of the Arts there. In addition, he is the Musical Director of the South Coast Singers, a community chorale based in South Orange County. Ray's wife, Amy, sings in the GGUMC Choir, and their daughter, Lisa, lives in Denver, with her husband Mark. Email Ray

Sally May.jpgSally May has proudly served as our Preschool Director  for over twenty years. Before that she taught at the preschool and even attended the preschool as a child. Sally has her Credential for Early Childhood Education and her Children Center Permit. She serves on the Board of CRECEF (Church Related Early Childhood Educational Fellowship). Sally was raised in this church and has been a member since she was 15 years old. Email Sally.
