Let the little children come to me; do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God belongs.— Mark 10:14

With many questions pressing on today’s children, we offer a safe haven for study, reflection and fellowship.

Sunday School

Children start off in Sunday church service, participate in “Time with Children”
and go to Sunday School class for the remainder of the service.

Cherub Choir (Age 5 thru 2nd Grade) and Chorister Choir (3rd thru 6th Grade).  Both choirs rehearse Tuesdays from 4:00 pm to 4:40 pm in the Choir Room.  Naturally, there are no fees for any of the year-round choirs.  All that’s required is a desire to participate in rehearsals and and take part in church performances.  Our Cherub/Chorister Choirs sing once a month, November through May, during Sunday morning worship, and at the Christmas Concert.

Summer Choir School

This Garden Grove United Methodist tradition recently celebrated its 32nd annual year of attendance.  For a small fee children and teens from 3rd thru 8th grades are taught the basics of music and learn to play the recorder, auto-harp, and hand-bells, and of course, singing.  This Monday through Friday event usually takes place during the last full week of June (In 2018: June 25th thru 29th).  Students are asked to perform in concert in the evening of the final day of Choir School.
