The congregations worshiping at Garden Grove UMC will celebrate World Day of Prayer (WDP) on Sunday, March 6 with a potluck at 5 p.m., followed by a service that will conclude by 7 p.m., celebrating World Day of Prayer.
Rev. Bau Dang (Traditional and Contemporary English language and Vietnamese language ministries), Rev. Larry Varghese (Mar Thoma congregation), Pastor Yong Park (Korean congregation, and Pastor Tone Tosi (Samoan ministry) will participate in the service, along with lay women from each group.
We will be in prayer with Christians around the world, this year especially remembering the nation of Cuba. A freewill offering will be taken at the conclusion of the service to be sent to WDP. The WDP organization selects and uses the offerings for different outreaches and missions activities worldwide.
No RSVP’s needed. Come with your main dish and dessert or salad to feed 6-8 people, and enjoy the potluck which will include a variety of ethnic dishes!
